This is the public changelog that logs all application changes both big and small.

Beta 2.11 - 2020-06-03

Fixed

  • Fixed a minor issue with the login error that appears on the login page.

  • Fixed an issue where the customer email list report was pulling customers with empty email addresses. The report now should only pull customers that have indicated 'yes' for the email list AND have an email address on file. Those with an empty email address will not appear.

Beta 2.1 - 2020-06-02

New

  • Reports - introduced the new report framework that includes many new reports: Report Overview, Revenue Reports, Client Reports, and Project Reports. In addition, this release better updates the Custom Report functionality to allow for extending custom reports easier for individual client needs. Now that the report framework is in place, new reports can be added easily based on customer request. Additionally, custom reports can now be added at customer request.

  • Login - added new options to the login page:

    • Remember Me - when clicked will now remember the username/email address that was used on the current browser for the next time that you visit the login page.

    • Stay Logged In - sets a cookie that does not expire, which will allow the user to remain logged in permanently. The current cookie is set for a period of 24 hours and will force an automatic logout after that time period has expired. This option is not recommended for public or shared computers as it will load the dashboard when you go to the login page without requiring a login.

  • Convert to Invoice button - added a simple button to allow invoices in statuses other than 'Invoice' to be switched quickly to an invoice (example: Draft and Quote can now be converted with one click to an Invoice)

Updated

  • Application Status - we have moved the status page over to statuspage.io to allow for better streamlined status updates when there are issues with the web application. You can now view the application status in the web application itself, when available, without going out to an external site. Alerts will be posted within the system now when maintenance is occurring to keep users updated on potential downtime.

  • New Support Portal - introduced the new Jira Support system to better streamline support for end-users.

  • Several plugins were updated to new versions - Feather Icons, DataTables, TimeZoneDB, and PrintPro for easier page printing.

  • Upgraded to new version of the application framework to allow for larger file uploads.

  • Changed calculation that shows on the dashboard for 'total value' of open invoices to 'total remaining'. The new calculation looks at the balance remaining for all of the open invoices. This calculation will give the account owner a better sense of how much revenue can be earned by closing out those open invoices.

  • Edited the 'My Account' features to allow the user to select to edit their password. Added a password strength check to determine the strength of the password. New password resets will only allow Strong passwords and above, which receive a score 80 or higher. Anything lower will require the user to set a stronger password. This will be the first step in providing a higher level of security for user accounts. Presently, users with a password security score of less than 80 will not be required to reset their password - this will only apply if a user chooses to reset their password on their own. In the future, we will implement a change to force a password change if it does not conform to this guideline.

Fixed

  • The logout functionality was updated after a bug when converting from version 1.0. Some of the old outdated code was removed to streamline the logout process.

  • Fixed an issue where the 'Allow Delete' toggle in the owner dashboard may not render correctly on various device sizes. A new/better toggle has been used to render better in all device resolutions.

  • Streamlined page changes with the application to remember the last page visited in the browser, so that the user can hit the back button and return to the last page (on most pages).

  • Fixed an issue where files were not actually being deleted. When a user deleted a file from a project, the file was removed from the application, but remained on the server and utilized the client's storage to retain the file.

Beta 2.092 - 2020-05-15

Updated

  • This release moved the application over to the CloudFlare network (https://www.cloudflare.com/) to ensure better network redundancy, speed, and performance of the overall web application.

Beta 2.09 - 2019-12-20

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where selected projects were not resetting after an action was performed and selected projects were not resetting after a new customer was clicked.

  • Fixed an issue where archived projects were still appearing as 'active' projects in some areas of the application.

Beta 2.08 - 2019-11-09

  • Portal owner can now turn on/off the ability to delete customers, invoices and projects.

  • When deletion is turned on, portal owner can now permanently delete customers, invoices, and projects from the database.

  • Projects can now be archived. When allow deletion is turned off, the portal owner can now archive the projects to clean up the customer projects list.

Updated

  • Printing has been updated to improve some workflows.

  • PDF converter has been updated to improve workflows and fix some minor bugs in the interface.

  • Allow creation of invoices from project by selecting project number when adding an invoice line
