Incomplete Task List

While your new business account is setup, there will be some additional information that you will need to supply once you login the first time to complete the setup of your new business account.

Incomplete Tasks

Upon initial sign up, you will have tasks that must be completed for the application to function at 100% efficiency. It is important that all of these items are completed or you may notice that some things are missing within the application. Once all of the initial required tasks have been completed, the 'Setup Task List' will automatically disappear from your left navigation menu.

Pro Tip: You can click on any of the incomplete tasks show in the 'Setup Task List' in the left hand menu to open a window that will allow you to instantly complete those tasks. Once the item is complete in the application, you will see a next to the item.

Upload Profile Image

You will be directed to upload a profile image. This image will only be visible to you or your account owner, if you were setup by the account owner (other than yourself). This image will show throughout the application in the top menu to verify that it is you that is logged in to the account. If you do not upload an image, a default image will be displayed throughout the application.

The uploaded profile picture should be a png, jpg or gif (png is best) image that is at least 128 x 128 pixels. The image displayed in many places on the site is 50 x 50 pixels and your image will be compressed to display properly. If you upload an image that is too small, the image may be pixelated or stretched.

Pro Tip: If you notice that you profile image does not look good, you can click on the main user menu in the upper right hand corner and select 'My Account', this will allow you to remove the current image and upload a new one that is 128 x 128 pixels. 🥳

Your company logo will appear on invoices, project files, and more. The uploaded logo should be a png, jpg, or gif (png is best) that is at least 240 x 120 pixels, but may be larger. The application will automatically compress larger images, but images that are too small may show incorrectly, pixelated, or stretched, so it is important to upload the appropriate sized image.

Edit Company Settings

To ensure that all invoices, receipts, etc display correctly for your customers, you should also update the company settings to match your business profile. You can update the company settings by clicking on the main menu in the upper right hand window and selecting 'Owner dashboard' from the dropdown. Once in the Owner Dashboard, click on 'Settings' then 'Company Settings' and edit the following:

  • Company Name - this will show on all invoices and throughout the application.

  • Mailing Address - enter the address where you business receives mail. This will be used on your invoices and receipts that are provided to your customers.

  • Company Logo - light and dark - you can upload or edit two variations of your logo. The application will allow you to supply a light and dark logo and will automatically use the appropriate one based on the background that is used behind your logo.

Pro Tip: Only the business owner, who set up the account with Clientl, may edit company settings. Employee users that are added by the business owner will not have access to the Owner Dashboard to edit any of the billing, users, or company settings.
